I'm looking to do a new 'versus' series where i show the two opposing soldiers of a battle.

I can do a Major Konig if you can get someone else to come along as Vassily Zaitsev, that would be a bit different.

airborne, rangers and USMC will al have been covered

Was that the article where all of the Rangers were wearing modern dessie boots underneath their gaitors.... it's a bit silly that these wannabees know jack sh1t about how to do it properly.

Yes, but he wouldn't put his picture in a magazine......

I have to agree, that was a bit silly.

Gadge, I can do late war US Airborne in 43s if you like. I can get K to take some piccies, or we could just do it at Autumn Mist*

*Why does our latest game sound like an entry on the Dulux colour chart?!? I blame Hitler.

That would be great Steve I may start organising a shoot at Daves ground in Notts in the new year.

Unfortunately I have no control over the wannabe section of the mag so cant really comment on accuracy of those items.

Now that I've got my plashch Palatka, I can do a Soviet infantry, Winter/Summer/Sniper impression.

No place to take period pictures at the moment though. It'll have to be the backyard I'm afraid :(

If more of us have very similar kit (which I'm sure we will have at the December game) we could do a squad of Airborne in M43s?

And I have the correct boots now :)

Heh... just make sure people don't mind their photos being used in the mag and that there is no payment made for their use... :)

I'd have thought that was clear to anyone responding to this thread :)

Note I dont need in game pics more pics of kit being worn, action posed is fine but I really need kit as authentic as possible in a reasonably realistic/40s setting.

I just thought I'd mention it as I know there's been potential problems in the past

I know you haven't asked for em mate but if you want any Airborne one's then let me know.

Also I've got some great group shots from a couple of CiA events if they're any use.

We've sort of done US airborne to death having done a wannabe on them and also the 'airborne forces' one.

I may revisit it later but priority at the moment is to look at the line infantry units and the less profile regiments and corps.

We only recently reprinted US airborne and rangers as part of the wannabe special so its probably not on the card until much later in the year.
